The Romans and the Egyptians are believed to be the original culture's to have ring pillow. The wedding rings are believed to be a circles with no beginning and no end, symbolising eternal love by the couple that wears them. The rings were placed on a small pillow (hence the name ring pillow) and carried down the aisle. The ring pillow is carried by the page boy. He walks ahead of the bride and her attendants and stands near the groom and best man. The ring pillow is held flat and level and at the appropriate time the rings are untied from the pillow for the bride and groom to exchange as a symbol of their love.
